Welcome!  My name is John Morris and this website is all about a business revolution enabled by technology, including especially technology around "BPO", "BPM", "data services" and "presentation".

"Revolution" is a big word.  But revolution is a fair description of what's happening on both the business side and the technology side of the equation.  On the business side we are seeing the development of new business models, most notably involving business process outsourcing (BPO) and agency services.  And on the technology side, the levers of process, big data and presentation options provide unlimited opportunity.

What will you see when you visit decisionmodels.org?

Using journalism as my model, I want to share what I learn about the potential, the successes, the reality and the dysfunctions of this new technology-enabled business world.  And luckily, my role as a front-line sales person and evangelist for business technology-based projects gives me a great perspective "at the rock face".  In addition to that bottom-up perspective, I'm also able to attend both industry and academic conferences, which along with wide reading and conversation provides the theory that helps make sense of daily practice.

My goal is to provide useful information for executives that need to make strategic choices about business organization and business models.  Technology is the lever about which I write; but the context is business need, systems theory, industrial organization and some economics.
